It's Sunday. We went to church this morning. Quite enjoying the services. They are a fairly active church. There is a Christmas Cantata on December 16 at their 11 oclock service. They have an Advent Workshop and Hanging of the Greens, but we won't be going to those.
They have golf outings that we might give a try as well. I am thinking I might get Alf to go to the Ballroom Dance Classes starting in January. Thought I would start laying the hints now, and then when we get back to Ontario we can wow everyone with our new dance moves!
It was cool this morning, I had worn capris and T-shirt with light blouse over, and Alf had just worn a short sleeve shirt, we had to come home right after church and put on jeans and sweaters. But by noon it had warmed up when the sun started to shine. But it was still cool enough to cut down the numbers at the noodle club. Did I tell you about the noodle club? They gather every afternoon in the pool (which is heated to 89 degrees - nice eh?) with their pool noodles and hang out paddling around the pool and just shooting the breeze. We went yesterday (sans noodles) and we spent one hour moving our arms and legs constantly while chatting with friends. Believe it or not it was quite a work-out, and when I got out on dry land my legs were wobbly, and today when I got up, both my arms and legs were a bit sore.
The afternoon found us at the flea market, they have country music,
so we sat and listened for a while with friends from the park, Dave and Janie.
The band was pretty good, and the lead guitar/vocals did some pretty good picking and could really belt out the Johnny Cash and Beach Boy tunes.
But the tables were in the shade and the breeze came up and I got cool.
So we came back, and I did some work on my quilting.
It is evening now, and we are nice and cozy inside watching a movie "It Happened One Night" with Clark Gable on cable.
I'm looking forward to visiting you this winter (not sure when). I feel as if I need to check up on you two - you may just be having too much fun!
ReplyDeleteI think I would like this flea market - is it open regularly?
