Well today Alf found a nice red truck to go with my little red roadster. That's what you call it right? A roadster? Yep, Alf said I could call it a roadster, I just can't call it mine!
The park is starting to get full. Lots of snowbirds pulling in everyday.
We played BINGO again tonight, but we didn't get to call out the famous snowbird call. Too bad, so sad, but it is cheaper than a movie, so you can't complain.
Yesterday, I got another 60% percent coupon for Joanne's Fabric on my tablet, so I went back and bought a new cutting board, mine was falling apart. At this rate, by the time the winter is over I should be able to stock up on all my quilting supplies at really good prices.
Tomorrow, we heard about Old Town in Kissimee, they have a live band, playing 50's/60's music. It's a street dance from 6- 9 pm., every Wednesday night. Sounds like a blast.
Living the snowbird lifestyle is pretty sweet. No time to be bored, in fact I have to get Alf to slow down now and then so I can find time to quilt, clean the place (which takes about 10 minutes) and make a loaf of bread.
The days are lovely and warm, and the evenings are warm, just like a beautiful summer day. We didn't get many of those in Ontario this past summer, it was just too hot most of the time. I find myself wanting to pinch myself and to see if I am dreaming. But indeed it is truly not a dream, just a dream lifestyle. At least for us.
I think I have to thank my youngest brother Roger, who retired before he hit 50, and never regretted it. Lori and he were enjoying themselves to much that I had to look seriously at it for us.
There is tons more to explore, and as the days and months pass stay tuned to this same snowbird channel for updates.
We like the truck Alf found. Maybe we need to put something snazzy on our red truck (I think we will start with the chrome stacks).
ReplyDeleteGlad that you guys are enjoying retirement so far.
