Today was Thanksgiving Day in the USA.  Our first - we went out for dinner at the Golden Coral with a group of folks from Cypress RV Park.  What a busy, busy spot.

There were people lined up in front of us,

                                   another line beside us,

and behind us,
the line never stopped.

Eventually we made our way in and the group was seated in one area of the restaurant.  But then we were faced with a rather long line at the buffet but it was all worthwhile.  The food was good.  This restaurant roasts whole turkeys and carves them right at the buffet line. They grill steaks the size of platters, plus all kinds of other food.  I went for the turkey, (it's thanksgiving right) and it was delish.  And the company was great!

I got into a rather long conversation with the folks sitting at the next table at the end of the meal.  I had stood up to take a couple of pictures, and told them about my blog.  Turns out they blog as well and have been doing it for sometime - 3 years I believe.  Their names are John and Judy Hollinger, they are full time RVer's from Scotland, Ontario.   That's close to Woodstock for those that don't know where Scotland is, and if you don't know where Woodstock is, well that is between London and Toronto.

Their blog is  www.rvlifeonwheels.blogspot.com.

Check it out, he has some great pics, he doesn't forget his camera, like I am prone to do.  We didn't bring our bikes so we don't do as much touring as they do, but their blog has inspired us to get out walking more of the area.  You just don't see the same things in a vehicle.

Here is a pic of John and Judy.
(and no, that is not Alf's head in the foreground, I haven't made him pull all his hair out, at least not yet!)

Anyway, I must have got into a rather extended conversation and Alf finally tugged on my arm and told me it was time to go.  I guess I can get a little conversational now and then!

Earlier today we went over to Walmart and picked up the newspaper which was about 3 inches thick - full of all the ads for Black Friday - a lot of places were starting the sales today, and Walmart is starting at 8.  Alf thinks he might go over just to see what goes on - I am staying home, probably do some quilting.  I'll make Alf take his camera, just so you can see what you are missing - not!

We changed the layout of the furniture in the trailer today, to make the traffic flow a bit better, I think its gonna work.  So long and Happy Thanksgiving  (for all my Canadian friends and relatives - Happy November 22!)
