Making Room For Retirement

Saturday, November 3 Well today was another sunny day, got up to about 82 degrees. We went golfing at the local executive golf course just up the street from our park - Lake Bess Golf Course. For $12 each we golfed 9 holes, (including cart). We decided to stick to just nine holes because this was the first time I had played golf since spraining my ankle at the end of September. And Alf's arm was still a bit sore. But I only felt a twinge on the first hole, and his arm started to loosen up after a couple. Not going to post our scores, but if I didn't count our first two holes, I would have only been a stroke behind Alf.

Thought you might be interested in seeing our little home in Florida. It ain't big, but we are very comfortable and we use our patio most of the time. Matter of fact the internet only seems to work from outside, so I have to figure a way to cut down the glare on the screen. It is about 6:30 p.m. so this is a good time to sit down at the screen, but during the day it is a bit dicey. Anybody got any ideas for blocking the glare? Can't remember if I posted this pic yesterday, it is a bit of wildlife, well actually two kinds of wildlife, the butterfly and the Aflis Dofis. Don't tell him I said this okay?

Oh, and we found a nice big shopping mall just down the road about 3 miles. Just in case we have a cold, rainy day, we can walk in the mall. N0 SHOPPING, NO SHOPPING NO SHOPPING - even now there are lots of bargains, we will wait for better ones. Alf can smell a bargain a mile away. But we did buy a bread maker, so fresh bread here we come. Talk to y'all later! Mary and Alf
