Trip to the Webster Fleamarket

Our bowling season is done for the year, so guess what?  We had a Monday free which meant we could make our way to the Webster Flea Market.  This flea market is only open on Mondays, thus the fact that we had not been there yet.  It was about a 1 and 1/2 hour drive but well worth it.   The place is huge, we were walking around for about 3 hours and probably only saw a quarter of the place.

What can you find at Webster Flea Market  - just about anything everything from soup to nuts - well I actually didn't see any soup - but how about this for nuts.

And if you are looking for retro furniture you can make your way here as well.

and retro suitcase

And if you are looking for something unusual well this is the place.

Not sure what this is - but it is unusual.

And just weird - well it is here too.

Like everybody needs a horses head - ooh, shades of the Godfather.

There are antiques -

And there is pretty

And lots of inspiration .

Why not use a lamp shade to display your brooches and pins!!!

And you can use your old license plates to redo your furniture .  And if you have an old coffee perc you could make a bird feeder.

And with a few left over metal parts and you can make these lovelies - or maybe you might just want to buy them

Not so sure that this is inspiration or not

What do you say Angela, should I paint my living room occasional tables to look like this?

And for my farmer friends, there is this baby tractor for sale - only $1200

And maybe my favourite, but truly not going to get it - was this African head dress.  The man at the booth assured me it was authentic.  He suggested I just buy instead of taking pics  - I didn't ask the price - thought it might give me nightmares if I got up during the night and saw it hanging on my wall.

But the best thing about the flea market was we found a couple of sets of golf clubs for us to leave here in our place in Florida for use next year, meaning we don't have to lug our clubs down here - and such a great price.  This time of year the vendors know the snowbirds are heading home and they are trying to reduce their inventory.  So you can find some good deals.

So after meeting up with our friends Dave and Janie, whom we brought with us, making one last stop at the farmers market section for some fresh fruit, we made our way home.  It was starting to get quite warm, made it up to 85 degrees today.  Far change from the cool weather last week.

Odd you know, we were golfing with layers, and some even had on their long johns and toques (or stocking caps to the Yanks) just over a week ago and tommorrow it will be shorts and a sleeveless shirt for me.

Well so long friends and talk to you again soon, (I hope).
We will be starting to pack up to prepare for our trip home.
Ontario are you going to be ready for us when we get there?
Please, please, let it warm up and let spring arrive!
