Yesterday was a long day, but a really good one!  I was in bed early last night, so this morning I am wide awake at 5:00 am so here I am at my blog posting another fascinating update for all my adoring fans.  (Ha ha Ha)

So yesterday we arose early (early for snowbirds that is) and were on the road  by 8:30.  It was another beautiful sunny day, a warm and very agreeable day!  We made our way to Bradenton to visit Alf's relatives, Joe and Sherry.  They are snowbirds as well, they have a nice place down here that they purchased and fixed up over the past 5 years. They own their land in their park.  Their place is a testament to what a little hard work, creativity and carpentry skills can do for a mobile home.  Well done, Joe and Sherry.  And it was really good to have a visit.  (And thanks for the grapefruit, picked fresh from the tree)

We left their place to make our way to Sarasota to see our daughter-in-law Tiffany and grandson Parker.  Parker, Tiff and her parents are down visiting Grandma Edna for two weeks.

Oh, Parker how you have grown, you are such a little sweetie!  But don't you dare take your first step until you get home to Daddy!

Edna lives in the Sun N' Fun Resort.  I have never seen such a large resort, and such amenities, there are probably 2000 sites here.  You will have to google it to see for yourself.  But it is huge, and they have all kinds of things to do, including a huge indoor and outdoor pool, amazing exercise rooms, pickle ball courts, tennis courts, lawn bowling greens that look like the best kept golf greens I have ever seen, bocce courts, children's splash pad and playground, hot tubs, outdoor bar just to name a few things.   It reminded me of a 5* all inclusive resort.  Of course, you pay for this through your lot rent - but truly amazing place.
But not for us for our snowbird lifestyle - too big and too busy.  How would one ever relax with all that stuff to do!

We made our way home in the late afternoon.  We came back across state instead of taking the interstate, and we drove through the heart of citrus fruit growers.  Took this pic, the lighting was interesting, and those fruit groves were on both sides of the road as far as I could see.

I was playing around with Alf's camera phone, (he lets me now and then, if I promise not to freeze it up - which I am prone to do)  It has all kinds of settings that I will want to play around with.  Here is Alf in cartoon mode!

We were almost home but we decided to stop at Chilji's for dinner.  Didn't really feel like cooking and cleaning up when we got home.  So we had a good dinner and drove home. And like I said at the beginning of my post it was an early evening.
